Please know this is a WORK IN PROGRESS. We will be focusing on sound first and then will work to include quality video. You can access from our facebook page or from the link on our website (where it had been in the past), even if you do not have a Facebook Account! We are so grateful for many generous persons who donated above and beyond their weekly tithe to provide the materials for this project. Feel free to give input as we go to help us out, but be gentle for a few weeks til we work out some of the kinks. Praise God for another opportunity to share the Good News, even in these unusual times! (July 24, 2020)
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.—Psalm 100
We want to announce that we have come to the much-anticipated “green” phase of this pandemic in Lycoming County, and that means some changes are happening here at Saint John’s-Newberry UMC. We are excited to share that we will be returning to on-site worship this weekend, June 6-7 for all three of our regularly scheduled worship times. Just like many of the other aspects of your lives are still affected, though, so will our life together need to be adapted for awhile longer. We will be beginning on-site worship (with strict guidelines), but we will not, at this time, offer Sunday School, nursery care, choirs or coffee fellowship. We promise to notify you when these additional ministries are being made available.
Our first goal at Saint John’s-Newberry is to provide Spirit-filled worship in a safe, healthy (that means physically and mentally) environment. We are aware there will be some of you who will not, for a variety of reasons, be comfortable coming into a group setting yet. We love you and will be happy to welcome you when you are ready. For now, remember that we continue to offer worship online at stjnumc.com for all 3 services.
