Protestant Prayer Bead Workshop:

Prayer is an essential component of our life-long walk with God. Yet in the midst of our busyness, it can be difficult to focus and allow ourselves to be still in God’s presence. For millennia, people have used beads as a tool to reach a state of contemplative prayer. Come learn more about the history of prayer beads, make your own set, and practice using them in community and in solitude at our workshop in the fellowship hall from 4-5:30 pm on Sunday, March 3. A great way to prepare ourselves for the Lenten Season. Upper elementary through adults welcome. Cost $7.00 (covers all materials)To be led by Pastor Denise Haskins. Please call or email Kris in the office at secretary@stjnumc.com by Feb. 21st to let us know that you are planning to attend so that we can have materials for everyone.
